The revetment mattress is a double-layered fabric that acts as a formwork to allow the injection of a high strength grout between the layers. The resulting finished product acts as a barrier to prevent erosion that may otherwise occur on a number of engineering structures, including:

Recent Project: Port Kembla Inner Harbour
EPS were called in to protect the banks of the Garungaty Waterway, as it enters Port kembla Inner harbour. To prevent erosion from peak flood events and propellor scour, 370 lineal metres of reclaimed embankment was stabilised using our 200 mm Filter matt. A panel of our Flexible Block mattress was placed along the toe of the structure to allow for setttlement and scouring in this area. The finished product was painted green for effect and also to add UV stability to the system.
